Matt I know that the leads for an igniter are not polarized, but is the lead from the safety switch polarized? I ask because, during an igniter swap, someone may have accidentally cut that third wire. It may have been me. I'm not at liberty to say.
Answer Hello Matt, The gas safety valve is polarized. The neutral wire has to connect to a specific terminal and the bake and broil terminals have to be connected to the proper connections from the control board. For a proper diagnosis, we would need you to please verify the model number from the units' I.D. tag and post a new question so we can look up the wiring diagram and provide you with valid information for that model. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, January 20, 2018
