Tom H for Model Number JDP39WOR3WH 2 Months ago, the bake element in my GE Oven kind of cracked and had a small flame where it looked damaged. I ordered AP2030968 and replaced the bake element. Then it seems that it doesn't the oven would not get up to temperature - so I purchased a thermometer for inside the oven. It was around 200 degrees when the control was set for 350. So last week I ordered the Oven Sensor Assy - WB21X5301 and installed that today - the problem persists. I can get the oven to 400 - but I have to set the control to 550. It is very odd. I do not get any error codes - the oven seems to think it is operating correctly. I could use some help figuring out what else might be going on here. Thank You!
Answer Tom, With the oven not heating properly and the sensor having been replaced. First check the broil element to make sure that it is good. If good then the most likely cause for the issue will be the control board not reading the sensor properly. Check the wiring from the sensor to the board to make sure that it is good and if it is then replace the control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, July 25, 2014
