Keith for Model Number JKP15WW2WW A few months ago I was getting F7 code and noticed what looked like bad places on the ribbon cable. I replaced the panel assembly and works fine. Now I'm getting F3 code and once saw F2 which indicates temp sensor may be bad. I tested the sensor and got 1094 ohms. I went ahead and bought new one but still got F3 code. The new one tested at 1096 ohms. So, it looks like the sensor is good. What else could it be? Does this model have a thermal fuse maybe? Thanks
Answer Hello Keith, The sensor sounds good since it should read about 1100 ohms at about 70°F. This unit has a thermal fuse and a thermal fuse for the cooling fan motor. The one for the cooling fan can be checked by allowing the unit to go to about 170°F. At about this temperature, you should hear the cooling fan come on. The other one is most likely made in the harness which is not available. Of course the control can be faulty and popping a false code. Read More...
