Part Number: OEM6071019
Manufacturer Part Number: WB21X5301

The Oven Sensor Assembly is an OEM part for GE ovens. This part monitors the oven's internal temperature, ensuring it matches the set temperature on the oven's controls. By accurately measuring the heat inside the oven, the sensor assembly communicates with the oven's control system to adjust the temperature accordingly.

Over time, the oven sensor can become faulty due to wear or damage, leading to inaccurate temperature readings. This can manifest as unevenly cooked food, longer cooking times, or an oven that fails to reach the desired temperature setting.

Symptoms of a bad Oven Sensor Assembly include:

  • The oven temperature is inconsistent with the setting
  • Food is not cooking evenly or as expected
  • The oven fails to heat to the set temperature
  • Error codes appearing on the oven display related to temperature regulation

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Answer

Daniel, the F2 and F3 error codes are going to indicate that the main control WB27T10276 senses an over temperature and a failed sensor WB21X5301. The F7 is going to indicate that the main control senses a stuck key in the keypad WB36T10544. With the power disconnected, you may want to check the sensor at the two wire connection on the control for resistance. The resistance reading of the sensor, while it is unplugged, should read 1100 ohms at room temperature. If it does not read around 1100 ohms, the sensor has failed. If the sensor tests good, then you will want to test the connector where the wires go for resistance. If the resistance is more than 10 ohms, the main control has failed. From there, you will want to test the keypad by inspecting the ribbon for any signs of damage. If the ribbon looks good, and the sensor tested good, then the most likely issue is going to be the main control. If the ribbon is bad, then the user interface would need to be replaced. Unfortunately, if the main control has failed, it is a discontinued part and is no longer available.
