Stephen P for Model Number JGBS22BEH1WH My GE gas stove oven turned itself on to over 600 degrees and stayed there. I couldn't lower the temperature with the oven control knob. I had to flip the ckt bker in the bsmt service box to shut it off. I raised the stove top and removed the oven control module from the front of the stove. I just completed ordering a replacement part from Appliance Parts Pros. the thing is-the replacement part has a THERMOSTAT COIL AND TUBING attached to the switch (the original did not). I need DIRECTIONS to route this tube/coil to its proper location. I presume the tubing gets inserted into the oven but how and where? do i need to drill a hole? The original part number was WB20K10008. The repacement part number is WB20K8.
Answer Steven, The Oven thermostat assembly is located in the controls of the unit where the gas valves are for the top burners. When you look inside the oven you will see the sensor and the tube will follow back to the thermostat at the manifold. Unfortunately we do not have specific instructions. Read More...
