Skeeter for Model Number GE GSD3415F00AA I was cleaning crud from the top of the piston/nut assembly. I did not know what this part did or how it functions as a piston. After cleaning, the piston "dropped down" and I can see the top of it slightly below the edge of the opening. I can take pliers and move it up and down easily but it doesn't stay in the "up" position. Is it functioning properly with the piston in the lower position with the dishwasher off or did I damage the piston assembly and need to replace it? Thanks for your help!
Answer Skeeter, The piston dropping down would be caused by a missing spring in the assembly and the piston and nut assembly WD24X10018 would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 7, 2014
