Dave for Model Number AP2039426 I replaced the silicone(?) pump connect and got rid of the large leak, but now have small leaks from the pump connect and the inlet sump connections after removing the pump/motor assembly. I'm hesitant to overtighten the clamps - should I have applied a sealant of some type?
Answer Hello Dave, The sump housing has most likely got a crack in it and will require replacement. Never put any sealant on these connections at all as this will act like a lubricant in the normal operating vibrations and the lines will actually vibrate off and cause more trouble. Read More...
