The Receptacle Push-In is an OEM replacement part for GE ranges. This component securely holds the electrical receptacle/plug in place on the back of the range. Proper functioning of the receptacle push-in allows for a stable electrical connection and safe cord positioning.

Answer

William, The best way to remove this light receptacle is to pull the unit out and disconnect the power. Remove the rear panel to access the receptacle in order to pop it out of place. Once pushed out you can get it from the front without having to remove the door. Disconnect it and install the new one.
