Mark R for Model Number wjsr2080v3ww GE Washer Thanks for any help. 10 year old+ GE washer Timer knob pulls out, but does not fill basket with water. When I turn it to wash mode and pull out knob switch sounds like washer is in drain mode. I have turned it to perm press to fill. Only works intermitantly. Knob seems ok. Is this a Rotary switch failure ? Rotary switch part #ps3499718. Should I buy new knob assembly as well? Thank you for any help.
Answer Hello Mark. Test for power coming to the water valve when the timer is turned on. If no power is there, you may have a bad timer WH12X1015 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
