Answer Tom, The brass assembly, that the burners plug into are on the end of the wires. Basically you insert the brass connector end of the wire into the slots on the back side of the black plastic receptacle until they "lock" into place. Splice the new wires to the original wires using high temperature, porcelain wire nuts, if the wires are not long enough to reach the infinite switch, install the drip pan and insert the element ends into the slots of the new receptacle.
