Answer Russ, If the washer will fill and agitate, the next check needs to be the lid switch and wiring. If the lid switch circuit isn't completed with the lid closed, the washer won't drain and spin. If the lid switch is OK, then go to the timer replacement. A failed switch or damaged wire or connection is more common than a failed timer, but yes timers and timer contacts can fail, it's not as common as you implied. Read More...
