Hello Panda, This can be one of several issues. The first thing to check is whether the solenoid is dropping back down. If it is in the up position when the crusher bin is installed, it will only crush. Pull the crusher bin out and reach in the hole where the metal rod fits into when in position. If it is up, pull it down with your finger and reinstall the crusher bin. It will now work. If it is in the down position, you will need to see if it kicks up when the dispense button is depressed, (normally the door switch has to be held in the shut position before voltage will pass to it). If it isn't kicking the solenoid up, the solenoid may be frozen. You can determine this by trying to work the solenoid in the hole by the auger motor yoke. If it will not move up and down freely by hand, warm it up with a hair dryer. If it still won't free up, the solenoid is probably bad. If it is kicking this solenoid up when activated, the problem is in the crusher bin assembly. This will have to be disassembled to determine the cause of the deflector not being pulled back.
