Charles A for Model Number 721.80033700 (Kenmore) overcounter microwave The plactic frame on the inside of the microwave door has fractured inside the lower left corner. (The plastic screw mount which holds the door together fractured and both plastic pieces which the screw goes into as well as the screw fell out of the door). Now the door wants to pull apart (seperate) especially the lower right-hand side as you open the microwave oven. There also seems to be a little (play) in the door itself (up and down). Not alot however I am wondering if the top hindge has somehow been cmompromised? I can see a small piece of plactic just below the white metal top hindge. I am not sure if this piece of plastic is suppose to be there and look this way or if it has somehow been detached. It does move slightly to the left or right if you gently touch it with a small screwdriver. Taking a second look at the door it does not appear to have alot of play, maybe the real problem is the frame mounting. Should I order the entire door Part # AP4670809 or someother part or parts or should I get a new microwave? Thanks! What should I do?
Answer Charles, Based on the description that you provided, it sounds like you may want to get the complete door assembly if the screw pegs are broken off. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, March 18, 2014
