The Gasket is an OEM part for LG washing machines, designed to ensure a watertight seal between the door and the washing machine's drum. This door gasket prevents water leaks during operation. Made from flexible, durable rubber, it conforms to the door and frame, creating a secure seal that keeps water contained within the washer during cycles. 

Causes for a Gasket to fail include normal wear and tear from frequent use, chemical degradation from laundry detergents and cleaners, and buildup of residue that can cause the material to deteriorate or lose its elasticity.

Symptoms of a bad Gasket include:

• Water leaking from the front of the washing machine
• Visible signs of wear, such as cracks, tears, or holes in the gasket.

• Difficulty closing the washer door, or the door not sealing properly.
