Part Number: OEM13310130
Manufacturer Part Number: 3016JA2002M

The Ice Funnel is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. It is a component located within the ice maker assembly that guides freshly made ice cubes from the mold out into the storage bin. The precisely formed ice funnel ensures ice cubes are directed efficiently into the bin, preventing jams or blockages.

Causes of a bad ice funnel can include cracks or breaks that disrupt proper ice flow. Damage may occur over multiple ice harvests due to repeated pressure.

Symptoms include:

  • Ice cubes getting stuck within the funnel rather than dispensing into the bin
  • An accumulation of ice fragments inside the funnel
  • Reduced ice production or incomplete cubes

Due to manufacturer changes, this part will not fit older models, you must also order the funnel frame part number 3210JA0006S.

This replacement is also compatible with models by Sears/Kenmore.

Herb for Model Number lrsc26940st

I've broken 2 of these funnels. I'm ordering 2 more, but am a little stuck at this point as to what to do differently next time. And I do have the new frame. When replacing the last one, first I snapped the funnel into the frame and screwed the new frame into place. But then found that I couldn't get the control panel assembly back on around the funnel. Is there a some way to do this? So instead, I took the funnel back off, breaking one tab on the funnel in doing so, put the control panel back on, and then snapped the funnel up into the frame. It's more difficult this way, but it appears to be the only way to do it, unless I'm missing something. But I didn't get something put back together quite correctly because the dispenser stuck on when the lever was pushed, first it kept running for almost a minute, then ran water until I got the frig pulled out and unplugged. Big mess! Then I noticed the bottom of the control panel was not secured. Could this cause the dispenser to stick on? And what is the proper procedure to get the control panel re-installed correctly? I started by pushing the top of it back into place and upward, then pushed the bottom into place and tried to push the whole thing upward. Should I be pushing the whole thing into place, and then upward? I think maybe I just didn't get the panel pushed upward so that it was locked in place properly. Thanks.

Answer

Herb, To install this part you would simply line the funnel up and push straight up on it. You may want to pull the frame back out and make sure that the holes for the frame are the right size for the funnel.
