Ben J for Model Number DLGX3571w When drying clothes using the steam cycle cotton/normal selection, approximately half-way through drying, the dryer will pause itself, chime three times, and stop turning the drum. The drum sill allows for manual maneuvering so I don't think anything is binding that up. No error code is given, and when using the smart diagnostic app on my phone, it can't determine what the issue is. I called LG support, they said "we don't know, you need a service call, want us to set one up for you". They seemed semi cooperative until they found out my unit was only 2.5yrs old. Anyways, I've tried turning the dryer off/on, but it stays on a flashing pause and won't start again. I imagine it might be overheating...but not certain. To temporarily resolve the issue, I've opened the front dryer door and let stand as-is for 30-ish minutes. It does not appear to change with load size, I tried to dry one sheet on a timed 20min dry and it paused with 11 minutes left. The exhaust vent hose, while it has a few dings, is not kinked in anyway, and hasn't been moved since installed new. The air coming out the vent on the outside of home is very strong, and I regularly clean the lint trap with one of those lint-lizard vacuum attachments. Thoughts on possible problems and solutions would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Answer Ben, With the unit pausing and not starting back up it would be suggested to check for anything that would cause a drag on the motor. Check the rollers, check the blower wheel to make sure that there is nothing caught in it. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, July 19, 2017
