Todd for Model Number LG WM2101HW Front Load Washer I get Code tE. I have washer apart. Could you please tell me how to test the Heater assembly and/or Thermistor with a meter? I know it should be between 10 - 30 OHMS. I just need to know the settings to put the meter on and what to touch on the assembly. Thank you so much.
Answer Todd, There is a 2 pin yellow connector and a 2 pin black connector on your main control board. The yellow will have a blue and red wire and the black will have a black and yellow wire. You will check between the Red on the yellow connector to the Yellow on the black connector for 10 to 30 ohms of resistance. For the thermistor there will be a 6 pin connector that has just a blue and white wire to it. Test at this terminal across the blue and white for resistance of 2.5K and 180K ohms of resistance. This is for the thermistor and you will want to have the meter if not a auto range set to RX200K and for the heater set it to RX200. Read More...
