Manufacturer Part Number: 6322FR2046C

The Thermistor Assembly is an OEM component specifically designed for front loading LG washing machines. It plays an important role in monitoring and regulating temperatures during heated wash cycles. The thermistor detects temperature changes within the wash drum and sends this information to the control board to ensure clothes are washed at the optimal temperature.

Causes of a bad thermistor assembly can include general wear and tear over time, exposure to extreme temperatures, or damage due to impact or mishandling during cycles.

Symptoms of a bad thermistor assembly include:

  • Inability to reach or maintain set temperatures
  • Fluctuating water temperatures
  • Error codes related to temperature sensing

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore washers.

Kon for Model Number WD-1256RD

We have this LG washer/dryer when you turn it on it gives us fault code EE minus the horizontal line on the top of the first E and beeps does not let you do anything.I looked it up on the fault codes .it tells me (water temperature trouble & unplug and get serviced)I thought it would be something with heating the water.I spoke to one repair guy he thinks it is the thermistor. What do you think.I have pulled the face of the machine off so i can see everything. Please help Thanks Kon

Answer

Kon, You're getting close. Since you have the front off the machine, remove the wires from the heater terminals 5301FR1158D and check for a resistance reading of 10 to 30 ohms, this will tell you if the heater is intact. Then Remove the wire connector from the thermistor 6322FR2046C and check for a resistance of 2.5K and 180K ohms with a multi meter and make sure the thermistor hasn't backed out or loosened in the rubber heater housing. If all checks are OK, you'll need to check the wiring(especially at the terminals on the thermistor) and at the control board 6871EC2005A.
