Dennis compressor start relay qp2-4.7g12 ceramic disc inside broken. I find lots of qp2-4.7 without the g12 at end for much cheaper - difference? interchangeable? Can I buy the $5 one and just put the ceramic disc in my current one, is that whole relay likely bad?
Answer Hello Dennis, The difference is in the amperage your particular compressor pulls during start-up. You should use the one recommended by the manufacturer for your model number to prevent causing a possible fire hazard. Do not use a start relay that has been taken apart and re-assembled as this will be a hazard to you, your appliance, and possibly your home. I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, April 8, 2017
