Paula My Frigidaire oven will not heat up. We tried replacing the heating element but that is not the problem When we try to set the temp. it lights up clicks a couple of times and that's all it does. the top of the stove works fine. I don't want to start buying a lot of things when we don't know what is wrong our stove is about 4 years. old. I don't remember the oven thermostat clicking when we would turn the oven on before
Answer Hello Paula. If the element is new, and it does not work, you will need to order and replace the control for the oven to repair the unit. You can test for power to the element. It should be 240 volts for an electric element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html We will need your model number to help you more with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 30, 2013
