Megatron for Model Number samsung microwave Is there an easy way to measure the magnetron supply voltage or at least that it's getting the proper voltage? I know it's around 5000V while my multimeter is limited to 1000V. I was considering building a high resistance 5:1 voltage divider to get the voltage down to manageable levels but I read that standard resistors are specified for 200-500 working voltage, hence I'd need at least 25 resistors. I've seen high voltage multimeter probes available on ebay but they're a bit expensive ($100) for single time usage.
Answer Megatron, Without purchasing a meter to read the voltage, you would only be able to measure the resistance. The resistance should be less than 1 ohm. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 26, 2013
