Mary Nowak We have 10 yr. old Frigidaire over-the-range microwave (Professional series). It stopped heating, though it runs. We think it's a magnetron issue. We have kept the unit very clean, and did not overuse/misuse it. My question is: If we choose to have it diagnosed/repaired, & it is, in fact, the magnetron, can we reasonably expect no further issues with it for the next few years? Or is it silly to repair a 10-year-old microwave because something else is bound to go? We purchased a suite of matching appliances when we renovated our kitchen, so we'd prefer not to replace piecemeal unless it really doesn't make sense to repair.
Answer Mary, Unfortunately, there is no way to determine if there will be another issue with the unit. It truly is preference on whether you want to have it repaired or to get a new unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 27, 2020
