Hardasdirt for Model Number spacemaker xl 1800 Can't find the sticker for the model number, and I didnt buy this microwave new. I had the flashing light through sheetmetal perforations at the magnetron and slight smoke smell. Ever since it wont heat but turntable, fan, lights etc work. Magnets arent cracked, nothing is black on the magnetron and it ohms .5 across the tabs and open on both to ground [OM75P(10) - 23AC060035], which seems to imply it should work. Diode is open both ways, therefore isnt working. Cap slowly drops in resistance when ohmmeter is used on it. Is the magnetron bad? Bad cap and diode? You mention stir assembly in another post. what where who is that?
Answer Hello Hardasdirt, If the diode is reading open then it is bad and would need to be replaced. Also check your HV transformer to make sure that it is ok. The stirrer is located on the upper portion of cabinet and stirs the microwaves evenly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 28, 2013
