Ron for Model Number RF217ACPN/XAA Needing to replace door gaskets. Is there instructions for this? Not sure it is as straight forward as it looks. Thanks Ron
Answer Ron, the new gasket would need to be warmed up (can use a hairdryer on a low setting and moving it around the gasket without concentrating on one spot) so that it has flexibility. Once it is warmed up, the old gasket would be pulled away from the door and the new one would be pressed into place. The door would need to maintain staying shut for several minutes (up to an hour) and the seal would need to be checked to ensure the gasket has a full seal. If a gap occurs, a hair dryer can be used to warm that section up by moving it up and down and the gasket should seat against the cabin. Read More...
