Derek for Model Number RF28HFEDBSR/AA-0000 Ice is getting trapped between the ice maker and the chute and melting so next time I get ice it dumps the water from the melted ice before ice starts coming out. Don't know if the baffle/gasket between fridge door and ice maker isn't sealing well or it should be leaving ice there in the first place or the ice maker isn't getting cold enough.
Answer Derek, There should not be ice getting caught between the bin and the ice door and if there is then it sounds like ice door is closing too rapidly and not allowing all the ice to drop or the bin is allowing ice to slide past. It could be just a couple pieces that fall through. If this is occurring every time then you may want to check the ice cube size to make sure that it is not too small. If it is then that could cause this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 15, 2016
