Patrick T for Model Number SMH9151 I have a Samsung microwave and got up this morning with the door open and it will not close. What is the problem? The latch or is there a spring. Also, how does the door come apart. We love the microwave and we'd like to repair it rather than buy another one. Thank you
Answer Patrick, The most likely cause for the door not closing would be a broken latch at the point where the spring would attach. The part number for the latch is DE64-00760A and to access the latch you would need to use a flat blade screwdriver to get in between the inner and outer door and pop the inner door loose.
