Lynne for Model Number lat3600aae The agitator in my washer is floating up, and I am looking for the locking screw. When I look up the parts online (https://www.maytag.com/digitalassets/MLPDF/Repair%20Part%20List%20-%20LAT3600AAE.pdf) I see the agitator as part one, but it has several different pieces. The bottom one is still attached and agitates, but the top most part is floating off. I think the screw you mentioned in your response to my last question is to lock the bottom part to the machine. Is there supposed to be a plastic clip inside the bottom part of the agitator to keep the uppermost part attached? It seems to just sit there, so I know something must be missing.
Answer Hello Lynne. If the agitator is broke, you will need to order and replace the agitator assembly 22001821 on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 14, 2012
