Terry I have a 1997 GE electric range. The control panel has black paint that has chipped off. The missing paint is under the 2 vents for the oven. I have procured Whirlpool black touch up paint, Part No. 72032. Will this paint work OK on the metal surface of the control panel?Please note that the reason that the paint has come off is that the steam from the oven is quite hot and hits this surface as soon as it gets out of the small steam vent. So I am asking if the touch up paint can handle hot moist heat/steam?? Thanks
