Bob for Model Number mav408daww My washer is making a loud grinding noise during the spin cycle. The washer is a Maytag Legacy bought in 2007. Would it be bearing? If so, what part number, and do other parts need to be replaced at the same time?
Answer Bob, With a loud grinding noise you will first want to check the drain pump to make sure that it is not turning hard and that the bearings are not coming out of it.
