Hello KBC. Here are the instructions from the manufacturer. They do not specify where the hole goes. Sorry. First, you need to remove the front panel and disconnect the door switch wires, and find the spring(s) 337186. You will find a "plastic" door plug on the inside door panel that you will need to carefully remove with a flat bladed tool or small screwdriver. Insert the end of the cable and reinstall the plastic door plug, on the door. Now you need to insert the cable(the end with the pin hole) through the opening of the front panel , slip the end of the spring into the hole of the cable end, stretch the spring and insert it to the holes in the back side of the front panel and re install.
