William for Model Number 110.20022012 Kenmore Washer about 5 years old. Model 110.20022012, Type 587-07, S/N C14921892 During wash agitation and spin there is a repetitive but not constant loud groaning sound. Not sure if this machine has a clutch that is failing or its the drive belt that is failing? Its quite loud. Has been trouble free until now. I suspect the clutch but will know more when I inspect the drive belt. By the way, this machine doesn't cycle the agitator but rather jerks it in one direction only which is atypical of all other machines I have owned over my lifetime. Find this very odd of a agitator design.
Answer William, The groaning noise would be the motor on the unit running and would be normal for this unit to make this noise. The only other thing that may cause it would be a splutch kit that could be the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 25, 2017
