Neo for Model Number WTW5600XW3 My Whirlpool washer leaks brown liquid which spit on inner side of washer; and makes noise for about 5 seconds at the beginning of spin circle. What should be replaced? Tub seal? splutch cam kit? gear box? Should I purchase a spanner wrench?
Answer Neo, With there being oil inside the washer then this would most likely be a issue with the gearcase of the unit. If you use liquid fabric softener then check to make sure that it is not old fabric softener by getting a little on fingers and rubbing it and smelling it. If it has the same scent as the fabric softener then that is what it is. Would need to make sure fabric softener is being diluted when using. Read More...
