Chris for Model Number ntw4516fw1 I am having an issue with the agitation in my Amana ntw4516fw1. I works but is very weak. There is also a clicking noise each time the agitator cycles. I replaced the agitator kit hoping to fix the issue but it made no change. Would a worn splutch cause this or is it a transmission issue? Thanks
Answer Chris, Yes a damaged or worn "splutch" assembly, could create the issue as you described it. But, it is usually accompanied by a consistent "ratchetting" noise. You're also going to want to check the drive belt and pulley, and the shift actuator and wiring to make sure the linkages are properly attached and aligned . Read More...
