Robert for Model Number MVWC565FW0 My washer machine recently quick spinning the other day. The pump still works, since it drained the basket. When the machine enters the spin cycle, it emits this loud screeching noise while spinning very slowly. Based on the discussions here it seems like it might be the splutch cam? Is there any way to physically tell? I do have a video but couldn't figure out how to upload. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Answer Robert, It is possible the actuator is not fully engaging the splutch to lock into spin. This failure would leave an error code. The tech sheet is located under the top in the front left upper area. Read the instructions on how to put the unit into service mode and recall the error codes.
