Chris for Model Number WTW5000DW1 My washing machine will not agitate but it spins and drains normally. During the wash cycle it makes a clunking sound almost like something will not engage. We have already replaced the wash plate and the drive hub. Tonight we took off the drive pulley and splutch cam. The splutch cam seems to be covered in a dark black oil. Can you help me know what I may need to do? What part may need to be replaced?
Answer Chris, It sounds likely that either the splutch cam kit is faulty and will need to be replaced or the shift actuator may be the issue. You can put the unit into a service diagnostic and see if there are any stored error codes to see if there is a shift actuator error. Read More...
