Mark V. for Model Number SHU30041 I was trying to fix a drain problem and unscrewed the 4 screws that go through the "support, pump mounting" bushings. part number 14. I ended up screwing them back in, since I realized that I didn't need to unscrew them, but they don't really screw in that well and some of them seem to be stripped. Anyway, after clearing the drain check valve, and turning on the machine, it's leaking all over the place. I suspect that I broke a seal when I removed those 4 screws. What should I do? Also, do I need to have the spray arm re-attached before I test things out? Perhaps that's why it was leaking. Thanks! Mark
Answer Hello Mark, Those screws thread into the plastic pump housing. They are important and the unit will leak profusely if not properly tightened. Since the holes they thread into are stripped, this unit cannot be repaired since the pump assembly and its' individual components, I'm sorry to say, are no longer available. Read More...
