Jamie L. for Model Number NFW7200TW My washer runs, but gets a ND in the display after it spins and sits for about 15 minutes. First I checked the pump for debris and the armature ohms is 14 ohms. I then placed the machine in service mode and then went to the output test. When turning on the specific output for the pump the pump only started maybe 1 in 20 attempts. I am pretty certain that it is the relay on the control board. I just want to verify this before I order a 300 dollar part. When using the output test the control does not look at any inputs such as the water level sensor does it? I also had my meter on CN10-6(the black wire) and had 125vac until the pump actually started. I believe that also leads me to a bad control board. Please confirm or advise on further tests needed to find the defective part. Thanks
Answer Hi. ND - The water level fails to drop below the Low Water level reset within 15 minutes, before a spin begins. If the pump receives the voltage and just hums then replace the pump. The control board and the wires are OK. Pump motor bearings or the stator magnets have an issue dragging the pump. The pump impeller seal has internally leaked and logged the motor and shorted it. Make sure that you do not have suds inside the drum. Fill/drain in cold over and over if need be and the pump allows if need be. Pump part # WPW10175948. Thank You. Read More...
