Steven for Model Number KRMF706EBS01 Hello, Evaporator is not defrosting. Defrost Heater Element checks with continuity. Replaced Cooling/Defrost Control Board WPW10678033. Evaporator is still frosting up. Unit will not do a Forced Defrost when selected in the Service Diagnostics Service Test 38 - only short cycle is available, no long cycle option comes up in that Service Test. Previously Evaporator would ice up from time to time but could be cleared with a Forced Defrost cycle or two. Defrost Thermistor in Service Test 77 returns 01= Pass. Service Test 73 to test Defrost Heater Output, Thermo Fuse is not available in the Service Diagnostics. Both RF and FC compartments are holding the correct temperatures of 37 deg and 0 deg. Obviously something else that is in the circuit has failed - but what?
Answer Steven, With the control board having already been replaced and the unit defrosting in the diagnostic mode, this would most likely be an issue with the thermistor.
