The Defrost Control Board is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This circuit board coordinates defrost heating cycles to remove built-up frost from evaporator coils.

Al, We do not have instructions that we can send on replacing the control board. It is not difficult. To replace you will open refrigerator door and remove the knobs for the temp control. Once removed you will use a flat blade under the corner of the front panel to get it started on release. Once started you just pull out on it and it will pop loose. There are 2 screws 1/4" hex head that you will remove on the front and 2 that attach control panel to the ceiling. Once removed disconnect the connector that is on the top of the refrigerator. This will give you a little more room. There are 2 screws on the bottom of the control panel that are phillips head that you will remove. Once removed you can disconnect wires fromthe control board and install new one in reverse.
