Gary for Model Number MDZ2766GEQ I have model GDZ2766GEQ and the evaporator coil keeps icing up solid from top to bottom. I pull the back panel off the freezer and defrost and it will work fine for a month or so in the summer months. Through the winter I have no problems at all but as soon as the weather gets warmer it will start doing it again. Thanks
Answer Hello Gary, You need to test the defrost thermostat WP61006199 for continuity with your ohm meter. If it is open when it is cold enough, (operating temperature), it has failed and will require replacement. If it tests good, the adaptive defrost control 61005988 will be the issue. Read More...
