Marsha We just paid $110.00 for this part from a repairman and I was wondering about the price difference.......how can it be twice the price. In addition, we paid $55 for labor and I was wondering if we could have done this ourselves and saved alot of money. But how would I know it is the adaptive defrost that had gone bad. How much does the multi-meter cost?

You will have to understand why we are unable to answer the question about the price difference. Regarding the installation, this is a fairly simple part to install. Remove a few screws where the temp controls are located inside the fridge. Unplug and plug in the new defrost control.
