Johnnie S. Every 3 weeks referigerator has to be shut off to defrost. How can I tell if the adaptive defrost is bad. thank you.
Answer You can test the thermostat and heater using a multi-meter. Both of these should read closed when cold. If both of these test good, then you have a bad adaptive defrost board.
