Sweeter for Model Number Maytag MZD2766GE The Adaptive Defrost Control board (61005988) has an LED light for diagnostics. Can you tell me what all the light codes mean? It blinks in a solid pattern when all is good, stays on solid when its in defrost mode. What do the other blinking pattern mean?
Answer Sweeter, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not identify what the different light codes would identify. However, if there is a defrost issue occurring, the defrost control 61005988 can be identified as a cause of failure through the process of elimination. With the power cord unplugged, the defrost heater and the defrost bi-metal can be tested for resistance between 24 to 26 Ohms from the yellow wire at the defrost control to the blue wire at the temperature control.
