The Door Handle is an OEM component for Whirlpool dryers. It provides convenient access to load and unload clothes through the dryer door opening. 

Causes of a bad door handle can include normal wear and tear over extended use. Repeated clutching and releasing of the handle leads to fatigue of rubberized grip areas and loosening of mechanical connections. Accidental falls or impacts when transporting dry loads of clothes could also damage the handle structure or mounting.

Symptoms of a bad dryer door handle include:

• Increased play, wobble, or looseness when grasped  
• Detachment or separation from the door assembly
• Cracks, splitting, or broken areas compromising the grip surface
• Inability to smoothly open or close the dryer door
