Greta for Model Number WGD72HEDWO All of sudden, the lint filter of my Whirlpool Duet dryer will not fit properly. Does the filter warp over time? I've cleaned beneath it but it still won't fit in all the way.
Answer Greta, The lint filter doesn't normally warp or disfigure, without warpage or damage to other components (vent outlet or housing), You may want to check the guides on the inside of the housing along the sides, to see if the track is clogged with lint or debris. Look down inside at the bottom of the housing and see if the door in the bottom, to see if the spring has failed and the door is stuck up and blocking the filter from dropping down into position.
