Bob for Model Number CGL1120ADH The oven will not ignite. The igniter glows orange but still no fire. I have changed the valve but it didn't help. I have read that the igniter can glow but still be bad. I was told to get a new thermostat. Can you help? Thank you
Answer Hello Bob, The ignitor should glow yellow to white hot. Orange is normally not hot enough to open the gas valve. If you have access to a clamp pn amp meter you can test for 3.2 to 3.6 amps of current. Less current indicates a failing ignitor. Read More...
