Michael I have an old Maytag gas oven that stopped heating. I haven't been able to find my model number, but I found the number for the gas safety valve. The Whirlpool gas valve part number AP4102464 is no longer available, but I thought maybe the flat oven igniter might be the problem. Is there a replacement flat igniter that would work with the existing valve? The valve says 3.3/3.6 amps and I was wondering if you can tell me which igniter I need based on the part number for the valve. I'm thinking the igniter might not be drawing enough amps to open the valve. Thanks, Michael
Answer Michael, Part # 12400035 is an ignitor you can use. You can check the amp draw with a clamp on amp meter if you have one. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 21, 2018
