George for Model Number ET1MTMXKQ00 1) My refrigerator door will not stay close. I suspect its my door gasket. But I have no repair manual to confirm, also I notice you carry the gasket in beige color for part # 2159060 or 2159061. I need the gasket in white. Do you have the correct part number? 2) As mention earlier about having no manual. How do you change the door gasket. Does repair instructions come with the gasket?
Answer George, Open the refrigerator door as far as possible, visually check the lower hinge side of the gasket to see if it is "rolled" over, rolled back or torn. Check and make sure there is nothing hanging over the door bin rails or on the refrigerator shelves causing the door to remain slightly open. Another check to make is, open the door to 90 degrees and lift up on the door or door handle, there should not be a lot of movement(approximately 1/8 to 1/4 inch) and look around the door panel for metal powder or shavings, this would indicate the door "cups" have worn out, and you'll need to replace the door panel assembly. The door gasket 2159061, is a white or off white colored gasket, the beige (mist beige) is the color of the refrigerator. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, November 2, 2012
