C for Model Number KENNMORE 11021102010 My machine will start to spin but won't get up to speed.so I have water left in the cloths. drain pump working fine and I have put a new belt on thinking that could be the issue. any suggestions to what part I should change out first before going right for a new gear box.
Answer Hello C, the control board monitors the motor current and spin speed in the spin cycle, it cannot distinguish between a heavy clothes load and a tight gearcase, it will try to spin the clothes as fast as it is allowed, there is usually no fault code that will show for this condition. Your model came with a Technical testing sheet located behind the front panel near the top, using it you can check for any possible fault codes, as well as testing the motor in agitation and spin speeds.
