Janet for Model Number MFI2269VEQ4 I need the glass shelf insert that goes under the crisper bins and I would also like to know the exact size. Not sure if I want to replace it with something not so breakable (mine SHATTERED or more like exploded when I was wiping it with a COLD sponge due to a spill. The glass seemed extremely thin and I didn't see "tempered glass" imprinted on it as with the shelf over the crisper bins. I'snt it supposed to be??? My 2 year old granddaughter was standing right there when that happened. Is the replacement glass tempered?
Answer Janet, The part number for the glass above the pantry and under the crispers is part number WPW10165870, the dimensions about 27 1/4" wide x 14 1/2" approximately. The glass is tempered and tempered glass is designed to break in to small pieces with not really sharp edges. This is by design and is considered safer than non tempered. Read More...
